Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 September 2026
Cloud Nine Studio ("we", "us", "our") operates a creative studio and event space at Shop 23, 613 Princes Highway, Rockdale NSW 2216, and the website cloudninestudiosydney.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can access or correct it.
If you have any questions about this policy, email us at cloudninestudiosydney@gmail.com.
What we collect
We only collect information we actually need to run the studio. Depending on how you interact with us, that may include:
- Booking details — your name, email address, phone number, the date and length of your booking, and any notes you add when you book the studio online.
- Enquiry details — your name, email address, phone number, and the details you give us about your event, such as the type of event, guest numbers and preferred dates.
- Payment information — payments are processed by our payment providers. We receive confirmation that a payment was made and the amount. We do not collect or store your full card number.
- Correspondence — emails, enquiry form submissions, and messages you send us through social media.
- Website information — pages you visit, how you arrived at the site, your approximate location based on IP address, and the device and browser you used. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.
We do not deliberately collect sensitive information such as health information. Please do not send it to us unless it is genuinely necessary for your booking.
Why we collect it
- To take and manage your booking, and to send you booking confirmations and reminders.
- To answer your enquiry and give you a quote.
- To take payment and issue invoices and receipts.
- To meet our record-keeping and tax obligations.
- To send you marketing emails, where you have asked to receive them or where you are an existing customer. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
- To understand how the website is used and to measure and improve our advertising.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we use to run the business, and only as far as they need it:
- Squarespace — hosts our website and forms.
- Acuity Scheduling — runs our online booking system.
- Our payment providers — process payments.
- Google — website analytics and advertising measurement, including Google Ads and remarketing.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) — advertising and advertising measurement. If you submit an enquiry through an ad on Facebook or Instagram, Meta collects that form and passes it to us. Meta's own handling of your information is covered by Meta's Privacy Policy.
- Our email and accounting providers — to send correspondence and keep financial records.
Some of these providers store information outside Australia, including in the United States. We may also disclose information where we are required to by law.
Cookies and advertising
Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies, including the Google Ads tag and the Meta pixel. These help us understand which pages people visit, measure whether our advertising is working, and show our ads to people who have visited the site.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. You can also opt out of personalised Google advertising through Google's Ad Settings, and adjust your Meta ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account settings. Turning cookies off may affect how parts of the site work.
How we keep it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. Our website uses encrypted connections, and the platforms we use hold information in secure, access-controlled systems. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and payment records for as long as we need them to run the business and to meet our legal and tax obligations, which is generally seven years. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept only as long as they are useful, and are then deleted.
Accessing, correcting or deleting your information
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. Email cloudninestudiosydney@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to verify your identity first, and there are some records we are required to keep.
Marketing emails
You can unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email, or by emailing us. We will still need to send you transactional messages about bookings you have made.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first at cloudninestudiosydney@gmail.com so we can try to put it right. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can make a complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
